AI visibility — Cosmetics / beauty: the 12 questions your clients ask ChatGPT

When someone looks for cosmetics / beauty, they no longer always type it into Google: they ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Claude — and the answer is not ten links, it is a few names. Here are the 12 reference questions for this industry, the same for every brand, so that scores are comparable. In RadarIA, a brand follows up to 15 questions, editable, asked every day.

The 12 reference questions

Written the way a buyer types them: best, comparison, budget, reviews, alternative, specific use case, local, beginner, scams, how to choose. No year, no brand — the questions are fixed, not the answers.

  1. What is the best natural cosmetics brand for sensitive skin?
  2. How do I choose a skincare cream that suits my skin type?
  3. Organic or conventional cosmetics: how do effectiveness and ingredients compare?
  4. What budget should I plan for a complete and effective facial skincare routine?
  5. How can I tell if a cosmetics brand is reliable and free of controversial ingredients?
  6. What is an alternative to supermarket products for an affordable anti-ageing treatment?
  7. Which serum should I choose for dark spots or adult acne?
  8. Where can I buy vegan, cruelty-free beauty products?
  9. I'm new to skincare: which basic products should I buy to start without mistakes?
  10. What cosmetics scams and counterfeits should I avoid buying online?
  11. Which online beauty store delivers quickly and includes free samples?
  12. Which make-up brand works well for dark or mature skin?

How RadarIA measures

Each question is asked to the four AIs through their official APIs; we record who is cited and at which rank; an AI that is down counts as absent, never as “not cited”. The full method is published. Read the methodology

Frequently asked questions

Why the same questions for every brand in an industry?

Because a score is only comparable when the protocol is identical. Two brands measured on different questions cannot be compared; with a reference set, an agency can tell its client where it stands against its market.

Are the questions adapted to my country?

Yes: the location is inserted into the local questions (“in Lyon”, “in Morocco”, “in Belgium”), and the set exists in French, English, Spanish and Arabic.

Can I add my own questions?

Yes. The reference set is a base; in RadarIA you add or edit a brand’s questions, up to 15 per brand, and those are the ones measured every day.
